From September 24 to September 27, 2024, the World Congress of Epidemiology 2024 (WCE2024), one of the top international academic conferences in the fields of public health and epidemiology, was held in Cape Town, South Africa. Professor Di Qian, the principal investigator of the research team, along with doctoral students Ke Limei and Feng Guoqing, attended the conference in person. They delivered oral presentations, sharing the latest research findings from the team on large-scale population health cohort construction, multi-omics studies on fine particulate matter exposure, environmental exposure omics AI tools, and mechanism exploration.
The team members also participated in conference presentations by several distinguished scholars in the field, as well as thematic workshops organized by renowned research institutions such as the UK Biobank. They engaged in discussions with experts from both China and abroad, exchanging ideas on cutting-edge directions and perspectives in epidemiology.
